Vinhas Selecionadas is an organic wine which is a blend of Tinta Roriz 40%, Alfrocheiro 40% and Jaen 20%. Even at this level, the winery releases their wines late and their typical vintage has been aged for several years at the winery prior to release.
This wine is unoaked, however, it is still reasonably concentrated and displays an impressive power. It shows reasonable tannins (even after several years of aging) with a crisp edge. The fruit is dry and serious. There should be no rush to drink this wine – it will still age. Please do not drink it too warm.
