Cauquenes

The 2018 Blend Flaherty Cauquenes is an unusual blend of Tempranillo with 44% Petite Sirah and 4% País from a dry-farmed vineyard in Cauquenes, Maule, that spent 18 months in oak barrels. Intense violet in color.

The nose offers cedar, cocoa, and tobacco leaf alongside dominant, sun-kissed aromas of plum and strawberry. Voluminous in the mouth; the fairly rugged tannins set the tone and shape the concentrated but relaxed palate.

This wines pairs brilliantly with full flavored meat dishes.
